Submission of papers
The 23rd ARRB Conference is the only Australasian conference in the roads and transport area offering fully refereed papers from around the world.
Abstracts have been invited in a range of areas including road safety engineering, asset management, network management and operations, concrete structures, bituminous surfacing, transport economics, road user behaviour, transport planning and the impact of heavy vehicles.
Abstracts are now closed. Authors who have submitted an abstract will be notified by email of the result of their submission.

Once abstracts have been accepted, paper submission MUST be received by 5:00pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time). |

All reviewers MUST send comments on papers by 5:00pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time). All peer reviews will be blind to author details. |
30 April 2008 |
All authors MUST re-send amended papers after peer review by 5:00pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time). |
11 July 2008 |
All presentations MUST be received by 5:00pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time). |

The invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the conference. Similarly, no speakers' fee is paid to successful applicants.
By submitting this abstract you grant the Organising Committee permission to publish the abstract and paper in the Conference Handbook in hard copy and in the proceeding CD-ROM.
If you do not wish to do this but still wish to submit please contact the Conference Technical Secretary to discuss. The Organising Committee's decision on acceptance of the abstract will be final.
Copyright license agreement
The Author allows ARRB Group Ltd to publish the work/s submitted for the 23rd ARRB Conference, granting ARRB the non-exclusive right to:
- publish the work in printed format
- publish the work in electronic format
- publish the work online.
The author retains the right to use their work, illustrations (line art, photographs, figures, plates) and research data in their own future works.
The Author warrants that they are entitled to deal with the Intellectual Property Rights in the works submitted, including clearing all third party intellectual property rights and obtaining formal permission from their respective institutions or employers before submission, where necessary.
