The Hawkeye 1000 Digital Laser Profiler range is a low cost, portable system which provides accurate and repeatable longitudinal profile, roughness data in IRI (International Roughness Index) and other indices and macro-texture in either SMTD (Sensor Measured Texture Depth) or MPD (Mean Profile Depth) formats.
The system is tow-ball mounted and includes the laser hardware, DMI (distance transducer), laptop and processing software. The Hawkeye 1000 DLP measures the profile in one or two wheelpaths using accelerometers and up to 2 precision laser sensors to compensate for vehicle body movement.
Longitudinal Profile and Roughness computations fully comply with ASTM E950, ASTM E1926, AASHTO PP37 and World Bank Class 1 requirements, the SMTD macro-texture outputs comply with TRL (British) Rep 639 and the MPD macro-texture outputs comply to ASTM E1845 and ISO 13437.
