ARRB proudly partners with New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) as they deliver ‘Safer Roads 2017’

In May this year, NZTA will deliver the 5th International ‘Safer Roads 2017’ Conference in Auckland New Zealand.

Stemming from an idea between NZTA (previously Transit NZ) and WDM from England, the conference began with a focus on skid resistance but has since grown to be a forum to promote the diverse range of activities associated with road and runway surfaces, and the role they play in safety.

In broadening the scope our aim is to attract a wide range of road owners, practitioners and those associated with maintaining and operating road  networks. We also want to include those involved in the development of vehicle tyre and road interface. We want to find better ways to improve the performance, sustainability, safety and reliability of the global road surface network – according to the conference organisers.
‘However, it’s not only the road surface but also the delineation, vehicles, safe speeds and how they interrelate to play an important role in delivering a Safe System approach’ - they go on to say.
The conference organisers warmly invite you to join them in Auckland, city of sails, to the spectacular Viaduct Events Centre (on the waterfront, where the America’s Cup was won!) and join them in presenting and promoting international best practice in road surfacing technology.
