Bridge Inspection Level 2

Written by : Australian Road Research Board

A two-day workshop for those involved with the inspection of bridges, culverts, noise walls, retaining walls and many other road structures.  A Level 2 inspection involves the identification of every bridge component and the rating of the condition of that component.  This can be used to generate an overall score or rating for the bridge for the prioritisation of repairs, major maintenance, rehabilitation and or replacement.

The aim is to assist the participants to develop skills to conduct the Level 2 inspection and also include information on:

  • safety awareness around structures
  • accepted and recommended procedures

Please note that the ARRB Level 2 Bridge Inspection workshops are now accredited. For further information about the accreditation, please download the workshop accreditation summary document below.
