ARRB provides expertise for Goodwill Bridge resurfacing

With plans to resurface the Goodwill Bridge in Brisbane for the third time in less than a year underway, ARRB – your National Transport Research Organisation - has been engaged to provide expert advice on what could be done to increase slip resistance after “continued concerns” from the public indicated the surface wasn’t meeting community expectations.

ARRB was expected to provide specifications for the works, using road technical specifications as a basis.

 “(ARRB have) now provided me with their report which recommends resurfacing the bridge to improve slip resistance even further,”  Mick de Brenni, Queensland's Public Works Minister, said.
