ARRB supports the Helmets for Kids school program

ARRB is committed to the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety, which addresses the more than 1.3 million deaths that occur on the world's roads every year. An estimated 60% of deaths occur in the Asia region, many involving motorcycles. Motorcycles are a primary form of transport in the region for children as well as adults.

Helmet use can prevent many of these child deaths. As part of our committment, ARRB will donate $15 from every workshop registration to support the Helmets for Kids school program.

Launched in Vietnam in 2000 (where traffic crashes kill 4,200 children every year), the Helmets for Kids program has distributed more than 500,000 certified tropical helmets to schools throughout the Asia region. Each $15 donation provides a helmet and associated training for school children and teachers.

The 25th ARRB Conference 2012 is also offering delegates the opportunity to donate $15 to the Helmets for Kids school program
