Helmets for Kids Program Update

As previously noted, ARRB is proud to have been a sponsor of the Helmets for Kids program, facilitated by the Asia Injury Prevention Fund (AIPF).

Over a 4 month period, ARRB Group donated over 800 helmets to kids and teachers at the Phnom Dil Primary School in Cambodia.

$AUD15 was donated by ARRB on behalf of every person that attended an ARRB Knowledge Transfer workshops between January 2012 to June 2012.

As well as providing helmets to the students and teachers, a number of other activities took place including training on how to properly wear a helmet for both students and parents, as well as educational murals and other extracurricular activities.

Prior to the Helmets for Kids program, no students wore helmets to school. Eight weeks after helmets were provided, a total of 97% of students at the school were wearing helmets upon entry to school which is a fantastic result.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to this great cause, your involvement has undoubtedly helped save lives.
