Inspiring the next generation of Bridge Engineers

On Saturday 8 August at The Corner in the State Library Queensland, Dr Torill Pape, ARRB's Senior Bridge Engineer, participated in a Bridge and Bears children event, hosted by the Women in Engineering Queensland as part of Australian Engineering week (https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/portal/event/bridges-and-bears).

The aim was to inspire the next generation of Bridge engineers.

There was a reading of Engibear’s Bridge by Andrew King (http://engibear.com/), and Dr Torill Pape as able to talk to the kids about bridges as well as participate in some paper bridge building activities.

Who knows what our future Bridge engineers will be building with in 20 years time!
