New Pavement Designs Delivering Best Value Pavements - NSW

Written by : Australian Road Research Board

Pavement design in Australia enters a new era with the release of the 2017 edition of the  Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology: Part 2: Pavement Structural Design. The most extensive update to the Guide in over a decade will significantly change the way in which designers develop next generation pavement engineering solutions for the Australian and New Zealand road networks.

This one-day intensive workshop will be hosted by the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) who authored the document, and conducted the research that underpins the changes. The day will include a demonstration of AustPADS, the next generation online tool to develop design solutions. This event is paramount for all professionals working in the pavements space.

ARRB will be joined on stage by key State Road Agency personnel that will outline the implementation framework for their jurisdiction. The workshop will provide road owners, road builders and road designers the opportunity to be part of the development of next generation solutions delivering better value for money infrastructure outcomes.
