Coronavirus guidelines for ARRB workshops

by Australian Road Research Board on March 16, 2020
Find me on:

We have put together some guidelines for ARRB’s knowledge transfer workshops to safeguard your health as a result of the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

These aim to do two things – ensure health and safety for all, and minimise disruption to our attendees.

We’d appreciate it if you could help us by taking a few sensible precautions before you attend one of our workshops.

Please don’t attend any of ARRB’s workshops or events if you are unwell or think you have been exposed to the risk of infection, or have travelled from overseas within the previous 14 days.

If you have to cancel for these reasons, please let us know immediately, and a credit note will be issued to you which will allow you to attend any ARRB workshop in the coming year.

Until further notice, ARRB will be establishing the following guidelines for all attendees to our workshops:

  • If any participant feels unwell during the workshop, please flag this with the presenter immediately;
  • Tissues and hand sanitizer will be available for delegates as soon as they enter the ARRB building, and also within the training room. These will be placed on the tables and the charging station.

Please remember if you are unable to attend or complete the workshop because of illness, a credit note will be issued to you which will allow you to attend any ARRB workshop in the coming year.

ARRB is closely monitoring the situation, as well as the latest government advice. We will continue to advise further as the need arises.

For real-time updates on the coronavirus situation, please refer to these resources prepared by the Australian Department of Health.

We encourage you all to take care of yourselves, and also to think of the health of others during this time.
