Media gains insight into road design

Written by Australian Road Research Board | February 12, 2019

There's a lot more that goes into the making of a road than just painting lines on top of some bitumen.

That’s what journalist Scott Murray of AutoTalk found out when he attended ARRB's Basic Geometric Road Design workshop at the National Transport Research Centre late last year.

Scott was invited to listen and learn how the next wave of road makers acquire knowledge and experience in building the simplest C-road to designing major intersections and development projects as part of council and state government funding programs.

The workshop was delivered by Senior Technology Leader, David Milling and Principal Professional Engineer, Noel O'Callaghan of the ARRB Transport Safety team.

You can download the January edition of the magazine below.
The workshop features on pages 9 - 10.
