The official opening of the new National Transport Research Centre in Port Melbourne, was held on Wednesday, 5 September 2018. The Hon. Michael McCormack, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Regional Development was the guest of honour together with over 250 guests from the transport industry and various other sectors in support of this momentous occasion.
