Join us for this FREE Webinar at 11:00am on Monday 14 September 2020.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) will be hosting a webinar to describe a ARRB TIPES Certification process for Coloured Surface Treatments (CST) and High Friction Surface Treatments (HFST), which has been developed as part of one of their National Asset Centre of Excellence (NACOE) projects. The webinar will also describe how TMR intends to specify and use these ARRB TIPES Certified products on its transport infrastructure projects.

Following this webinar, TMR and ARRB will be seeking feedback from stakeholders on the proposed ARRB TIPES Certification process and construction specification that will enable these products to be used on TMR projects. Implementation of these processes and specifications is expected to occur in early 2021.

The webinar is intended for manufacturers and installers of CST and HFST, civil contractors, engineers, technical officers and consultants involved with the delivery of road infrastructure for TMR and will cover the following topics:

  • What are CST and HFST?
  • ARRB TIPES Certification and how it applies to CST and HFST
  • TMR registration of ARRB TIPES Certified CST and HFST
  • The test results and performance results required for the assessment
  • TMR construction specification that will enable the use of TMR registered CST and HFST on TMR projects.
