Gavin Lennon commenced employment with ARRB in 2022. Gavin is a Physicist in the Mobility Futures team delivering a wide range of safety outcomes as we move toward a new age of transport. Gavin has extensive experience investigating, analysing and processing vehicular collisions and assessing infrastructure for hostile vehicle mitigation purposes. Gavin was previously the principal Collision Reconstruction expert for the NSW Police Force. In 2018, Gavin became the leading technical review officer for all vehicle barrier testing and subsequent scientific report writing conducted by the Australia-New Zealand Counter Terrorism Committee and hostile vehicle mitigation assessor for the NSW Police. Gavin has a bachelor’s degree( with Honours) in Advanced Medical and Radiation Physics and has conducted major research projects with the CSIRO. Gavin has also completed courses in Motorcycle Crash Investigation, At-scene Traffic Investigation, Advanced Traffic Crash Investigation, Human Factors in Traffic Crash Reconstruction, Crush Energy Analysis, Pedestrian Collision Reconstruction, Advanced Momentum Analysis and Advanced Crash Data Applications.
