9th International Conference on Managing Pavement Assets (ICMPA9) - INITIAL CALL FOR PAPERS-1

Interested authors, researchers and practitioners are invited to submit abstracts to the Scientific Committee for possible inclusion in the conference proceedings and presentation at the conference. The organizing committee has identified five themes for your consideration:

• Innovations
• Sustainability
• Performance Management
• Accountability
• Case Studies

While we believe that most papers will fit into these broad themes, we encourage everyone to submit their abstracts for consideration. Among the topics that might be submitted: the change in distress levels identified in moving from 2-D to 3-D image processing, how sustainability is measured with regard to optimizing network performance, how long are agency personnel held accountable for
working their management plans, what innovations will support the “next generation” of pavement management systems, case studies in developing long term plans for preservation, maintenance, rehabilitation and reconstruction or in linking pavement management systems (PMS) to wider asset management and practical interfaces for enabling this linkage. These are only examples, and we
eagerly await your ideas in the form of an abstract.
