ARRB an organisation facing change

David Brown editor of AITPM newsletter, chats to Australian Road Research Board CEO Michael Caltabiano

I had a long chat the other day with Michael Caltabiano, the recently appointed new CEO of the Australian Road Research Board.

Michael has an extensive experience in politics and in major organisations such as the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association, Department of Transport and Main Roads in Queensland and Infrastructure Delivery Australia Pty Ltd

When he left the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association the AAPA Board Chairman Rob McGuire said “The journey that Michael has taken our industry group on over the past three years has been exciting and transformative for our association.  AAPA is a stronger more vibrant, engaged and progressive organisation that it has ever been with a great track record of successes over the past three years in the technology, communications, training and safety arenas".

Michael clearly has a vision for ARRB (although he prefers the full name Australian Road Research Board) which will enhance the organisation as a major player in helping to bring about positive strategies and projects in the transport arena.
