Sharing good practice. Is there something here that you can incorporate into your training?

Do you know that every individual has a preferred learning style? During our Traffic Management workshops we know that we may have a mix of learners who have visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learning styles.

  • For our visual learners we include lots of pictures, diagrams of roads, and photos.
  • For our auditory learners we include lots of spoken explanations of our pictures and photos, and provide lots of opportunities for our learners to share and listen to others following key learning topics
  • For our kinaesthetic learners we provide a problem solving activity using big maps, and scales.

There are varying statistics and research about these learning styles but in summary there are more visual learners than auditory or kinaesthetic.
