Submissions open for Safer Roads 2020

ARRB is among industry thought-leaders worldwide who are invited to contribute to the Safer Roads 2020 International Conference, which will be held for the first time in the United States.

The conference is a triennial event for road safety professionals and transport officials from around the globe.

Last held in Auckland in 2017, the conference brings together industry leaders, government officials, corporate roadway department personnel, and others in the road safety infrastructure industry, with a focus on improving processes and communication to work more efficiently.

Delegates will be able to catch up with current trends and industry advancements and to access new products and technologies from around the world

The next event will be held in Richmond, Virginia, in the United States, from May 12-14, 2020.

Along with others in the roads and transport industry worldwide, relevant staff at ARRB have been invited to contribute submissions for Safer Roads 2020 by submitting a paper, education session, or poster session proposal that reflects the best thinking in the field, informed by theory and research, and proven best practices.

Organisers say they welcome proposals that:

  • Address the importance of roadway safety from a strategic perspective
  • Demonstrate proven measures to improve roadway safety
  • Explore the role of technological innovations in the industry
  • Speak to new regulations and real-time issues
  • Provide a preview of upcoming industry trends

Proposals can be submitted through the online submission form through Safer Roads 2020.

Each proposal will be evaluated based on its thoroughness, clarity, and adherence to session guidelines. Research design, innovation, creativity, and thematic cohesiveness will also be considered.
