Call for Expression of Interest - Workshop Developers and Presenters

Development and delivery of ‘Fundamentals of Intersection Analysis’ training workshops

ARRB Group is looking for confident subject matter experts in intersection analysis who are interested in becoming presenters of Knowledge Transfer workshops on the topic of ‘Fundamentals of Intersection Analysis’. These workshops will relate to the Austroads Guide to Traffic Management Part 2 (Traffic Theory) and Part 3 (Traffic Analysis), and will cover assessing intersection performance, intersection geometry and driver behaviour parameters affecting intersection capacity and performance, saturation flow-rates and lost time at signals, roundabouts, and ‘Stop’ and ‘Give Way’ sign-controlled intersections. This workshop is intended as a prerequisite to SIDRA INTERSECTION software training workshops under a cooperation agreement between ARRB and SIDRA SOLUTIONS.

We are seeking people who not only have a thorough and in-depth knowledge of both the theory and practical implementation and who are able to answer questions and lead discussions that go beyond the fundamental material covered in the workshops, but people who also have some experience in preparing clear and interesting teaching materials and who possess good teaching and communications skills, with the ability to relate to and assist workshop participants of a variety of skill levels and the ability to develop and structure a training workshop that incorporates a range of complementary activities and teaching methods. We also offer the opportunity for further education and coaching in training and assessment to our workshop developers and presenters.

If this sounds like something in which you would be interested, please prepare an expression of interest with the following information:

  • Your relevant education and qualifications, as well as relevant achievements such as publications, papers, awards, etc.
  • A brief description of your past and current experience in both intersection analysis and in training development and/or delivery.
  • Your suggestions about the workshop content and the learning objectives.
  • A copy of your Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Your contact name and details.

Please submit your expression of interest to Kathy Doukouris at Kathy.doukouris@arrb.com.au with the subject line ‘Expression of interest for workshop development/delivery’.

For further information, or to discuss, contact Kathy at the ARRB Group on 03 9881 1619 or at Kathy.doukouris@arrb.com.au
