The Australian Road Research Board laboratories produce important, ground-breaking research for the nation and its road agencies.
The research done in ARRB’s labs helps produce our road standards guides, and powers some of the country’s biggest ongoing road projects.
ARRB’s road research labs are the nerve centre for work done in conjunction with Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) for the National Asset Centre of Excellence (NACoE), and with Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) for the Western Australian Road Research Innovation Program (WARRIP).
ARRB’s labs also drive significant amounts of research conducted through Austroads – the peak organisation of Australasian road transport and traffic agencies.
